FiA FTX is a community of women located in the Fulshear, Texas area committed to bettering themselves and their community. We are one of the many regions that make up the FiA Nation. At our core we are a workout group by women for women. Our workouts are free as they are peer-led by our Qs, (our volunteer workout leaders). We offer more than workouts, but also friendship and community - hosting monthly socials, organizing quarterly philanthropy projects, and forming teams to participate in local charity races and events.
The lioness theme was birthed by one of our founding members and is carried to each workout location (AO). In the wild, lionesses or female lions, perform the majority of the duties in the pride or group. They are the hunters, the protectors, in addition to being responsible for raising cubs. Lionesses work together to survive in the wild. We strive to have a similar pride-like mentality.
While 45 minutes of each workout is dedicated to burning calories and building muscle, at the end of each workout, we have a Word, the Circle of Trust, and Taps. The Word is usually an inspirational quote. The Circle of Trust is where we can share our successes and our stresses with the confidence that it stays confidential among our pax (members). Taps allows us to share requests for thoughts and prayers. Just like lionesses support the members of their pride; we strive do the same with ours.
Will you join our pride?
FiA FTX workouts are designed for all fitness levels. Our motto is “you v. you.” With the guidance of the leader/Q, participants/pax can easily modify up or down to match the exercise to their fitness ability. Because the workouts/BDs are peer-led, each BD will be different as each Q has a different style. Some are more cardio, some are more strength, and some are a mixture of both. Generally, the BDs fall into the “bootcamp” category - but instead of an instructor yelling at you to do burpees, its friends encouraging you to keep it up!
